About Me

 An Ending
To my beloved nourishME! friends, families, and young chefs—2019 is bringing about major changes in my life.  Most notably is that as of December 2018, I taught my last cooking class as nourishME.  This business has been my love and livelihood for over two years, and really for the three years leading up to its formation.  I’ve been so incredibly lucky to have cooked delicious food with over 1,200 young chefs throughout the greater Seattle/Bellevue area schools, libraries, and community centers in after school programs and summer camps.   Thanks to these experiences I was connected with a group of visionaries in Bellevue who are opening a brand-new, non-traditional school named H3-- and they’ve invited me along for the incredible ride. 

A New Beginning
After helping H3 facilitate their pilot program in the fall of 2018, with a group of children grades K-5, I came to realize that I wanted to fully focus these next years of my life in helping them carry out their vision for an accessible, experiential, non-traditional learning community.  H3 stands for Head, Heart and Hands, you can read more about us over at our website: And you better believe I’ll still be making delicious and nutritious foods with our kids over there! We’re in the planning stages now and currently, we’re hoping to launch summer programming, which I’ll help facilitate.

A Chance for Someone to Carry on the Healthy Eating Mission
With this being said, I realize that I’m leaving behind a cooking program that has been in high demand and loved by many--I constantly field requests to bring this program to a school or community group.  Families have enjoyed knowing their kids are in an engaging, fun, hands-on, and nutritious after school/summer cooking program.  I would love to see someone who loves children and nutritious food as much as I do, carry on the mission I started back in the summer of 2016.  If you or anyone you know is interested in learning more about purchasing and taking over a small business of this nature, please have them reach out to me at  Most families begin registering for summer camps starting in February/March, so this would be a great time to get going as I’ll be available to help train. Many schools also begin looking for spring after school programming by February/March.

About Me...

I’m board certified in holistic nutrition and a certified Healthy Hands Cooking instructor. Helping children and families establish nutritious eating habits has been the most rewarding job I’ve ever had and I’ve now pledged to make it my life’s work. My goal is to empower your children by engaging and inspiring them to make healthful decisions when it comes to how they fuel their growing bodies. 

After spending almost a decade as a landscape designer and project manager, I left the field of horticulture to nurture my ever-growing love for wholesome foods. A few years later I became board certified in holistic nutrition and haven’t looked back. Since then, I’ve helped many families develop and maintain healthful eating habits. Through this period of growth, I quickly realized that I wanted to focus on childhood nutrition with the hope of reaching as many children as possible. 
In my classes, your children will learn basic cooking skills, the importance of good nutrition, and taste a wide variety of foods in a creative, fun, and supportive environment. Mounting evidence shows that children who have nutritious eating behaviors modeled for them are more likely to maintain a healthful lifestyle throughout their lives. I want to see every child reach their fullest potential while ensuring that their diet and lack of basic cooking skills are not limiting factors. It would be an honor to help the creative chef in your child bloom.
