About Me

Hi!  I am Natalie Copeland, a certified Healthy Hands Cooking instructor and owner of Flavored Fork, a mobile culinary business that serves up food like your mama used to make but with a healthier twist. I started out catering and offering meal delivery, which were mostly “traditional”, but my focus shifted to healthier cooking when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2014.  I fell in love with cooking and became fascinated with making “traditional” meals healthier and trying new foods.  As a result, my meal delivery menus now offer a healthier fare.

Learning to cook healthier made me want to share my new discoveries with others so I became a certified Healthy Hands Cooking instructor so that I could teach others what I had learned, especially children.  It is a joy to see little minds soak up culinary knowledge.  Through my business, I offer a variety of Healthy Hands Cooking classes for children and teenagers, including cooking camps and Cooking for Badges for Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.  Through fun and education, your child will enjoy learning about nutrition and healthy cooking.

While it is important to teach the adults of tomorrow to cook healthy, it is equally important to teach the adults as well.  I offer an assortment of customized classes through Healthy Hands, including couple's night classes and Cooking & Cocktails, where students aged 21 and over sip a glass of heart-healthy wine and cook alongside a friend, old or new.

I also offer specialty classes for those with chronic illnesses such as diabetes and inflammation.  In addition, through the Healthy for Life ® 20 By 20 programs sponsored by the American Heart Association, I am able to provide more heart-healthy cooking classes and demos to the community.

Not interested in a hands-on class, feel free to book me for cooking demos at your church, specialty store or health-related organization.  You can learn all about healthy cooking without getting your hands “dirty”.

About my classes:

  • All classes and demonstrations have a registration deadline. Registration deadlines are usually 1 week prior to the scheduled class so that supplies and groceries can be purchased prior to the class, which are based on the number of registrants.
  • Walk-in registrations are not permitted. The registration process involves a waiver, photography release and food allergy documentation that must be obtained before anyone can participate in class.
  • If the instructor cancels a class, you will get a full refund or you can opt to switch to another scheduled class at no cost.
  • In the event that you must cancel your reservation, you will be switched to another scheduled class of your choice.

Please take a moment to review my services below and contact me if I can help you with healthier cooking!  Remember, Flavored Fork is a mobile business, so I am able to meet your culinary needs anywhere in Lexington or Richland or surrounding counties. Live outside of my area, any class can be converted to a virtual class...in any city...in any state.

Let's start cooking!
