HHC - Certified Instructor & Dr. Sears Health Coach
If you’re a high school or college aged student, chances are your campus is surrounded by lots of fast food options and snack vending machines. You may even have a dorm with limited cooking space and feel like your only option is to hit the closest cafeteria or boil up a pack of Ramen noodles.
Say good-bye to those options and create your own delicious meals using simple ingredients, simple tools, and simple preparation methods.
We'll help you master cooking skills to take you from the dorm room and beyond!
Limit your consumption of unhealthy, nutrient deprived processed foods and instead create your own delicious meals using simple ingredients, simple tools, and simple preparation methods. In this four class series, students will use tabletop appliances and basic cooking methods to prepare healthy options for snacks, breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Meal planning, grocery shopping, and proper storing and reheating of foods will give your college bound student a chance to plan, prepare, store and serve healthy foods for themselves.
