About Me

Hello!  Jan here, founder of Healthy Hands Cooking.

I started teaching my daughter and her friends in my home back in 2011 and realized immediately the need to teach our children important kitchen skills.  The same skills my mother taught me, and her mother taught her.

My first fee-based student had NO IDEA that mashed potatoes came from potatoes.  He thought they could only come from a box! 

So I set out on a mission to train and support healthy cooking instructors who could then make a difference teaching kids and families in their own communities, one student at a time.

Today we have trained more than 585 Healthy Hands Cooking Certified Instructors who combined, teach tens of thousands of students each year.

Together as a team on a mission, we are happy to bring our "Real, Good, Food" to you.
